Brow lamination is a treatment that makes hairs softer and more manageable, allowing them to be brushed into the desired direction-perfect for achieving volume and filling gaps. It also suits those with thick or curly brows. The procedure typically includes shaping and tinting, finished with a nourishing mask to restore and feed the hairs.
Similar to eyelash lamination, the brows should remain dry and undisturbed for 24 hours after the procedure to preserve the shape and longevity. The treatment takes about 1 hour, and the effect lasts roughly 2 months—doing it more frequently is not recommended.
This is one of my favorite treatments, and I recommend it to anyone wanting perfect brows. If your brows lack definition, this procedure is the key to fuller, more beautiful results.
Brow shaping and modeling is a procedure where the specialist adjusts the shape to better suit the face. Correction is commonly done with tweezers, wax, or threading. In my practice, I use wax and tweezers.
The need for repeat correction depends on the speed of eyebrow growth. Hairs usually grow back in 1-2 weeks. If only correction is performed, the procedure takes about 15 minutes, but if correction and coloring are performed, it takes about 45 minutes.
Professional chemical brow tint and henna are fundamentally different in composition, yet both offer a wide range of shades.
Both tint and henna can last on hairs up to a month, but henna also stains the skin for 1–2 weeks.
Henna does not penetrate the hair structure; it tones and primarily works on the skin. Tint opens the hair cuticle and deposits pigment that builds up, so the color remains in the hair longer.
If someone lightens their hair color, brows may need to be lightened too. Tint can lighten brows by a few shades; henna cannot.
Chemical tint can give a more natural look depending on the brand; for bold and noticeable brows, henna is preferable.
When using henna, recent self-tanning products (including sprays), prior permanent makeup, and individual factors (menstrual cycle, diet, medications, illness, stress) can affect the final shade. The true henna color develops within the first 24 hours—some clients see the final shade after 20 minutes, others only the next day. Since henna is natural, it can cause allergic reactions. For henna brows I use high-quality products from Henna Spa; for chemical tinting I use brands like RefectoCil, Shik, and Bronsun.
